Course Description:

Job seeker skills workshop 1: CVs and Cover Letters

Most of us find applying for jobs difficult. Artists and freelancers in particular can find it hard to express their extensive, eclectic work and life experience in a way that makes their skills clear to potential employers. In this workshop, you will learn how to think about your experience in a new way, and craft it into a stand-out CV and cover letter.

Job seeker skills workshop 2: Job interviews, references and contract negotiations

Once you’ve secured an interview, even if it’s just an initial ‘casual coffee’, there’s lots to do to make sure you secure the job. Learn how to properly prepare for and ace job interviews, including ‘casual coffees’ (top tip: there’s no such thing), care for and manage your references, and negotiate salary and other employment contract details to help you not only get the job, but ensure that it will work for your life and needs.
