She has worked as a song writing and music mentor in primary and secondary schools for the NZ Music Commission and is currently a senior tutor in the Massey University music department. Over the past year, she has developed her song writing and production further as a co-writer in New Zealand, Australia and LA after receiving an APRA development grant.

In her spare-time she co-runs Wellington community label Home Alone, and is on the organising team for Girls Rock! Pōneke which is a music-based holiday programme for young women, trans, and non-binary identifying youth.

Brooke wrote her first song at the age of 5, and has never looked back. She is passionate about her craft, and is looking forward to sharing some of the tips and tricks she has learnt throughout her music career. She hopes to encourage participants to explore and refine their own practices whether they are new to song writing or more experienced.
